Stylists win place in finals

Pair Competing for top industry contest title

Two Shrewsbury hair stylists have reached the regional finals of a top hairdressing competition.

Anna Clinton and Amy Owen who are both based at K2 The Salon in the Darwin Shopping Centre in the town have secured their place in the regional heats in the young talent and colour categories in the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award 2010.

It means the pair have been recognised as being the best hair stylists and colourists in the region.
This year's awards attracted 800 entries.
The pair will attend the regional heats at Aston Villa's football ground - Villa Park - this month.

If either wins at the final they will compete with 36 hairdressers at the Wella Profesionals Trend Vision UK final in London. The awards were created to acknowledge the industry's most skilled hair stylists and colourists.

The competition focuses on all aspects of hair styling and colouring abd the regional heats are judged by world- leading hairstylists and magazine editors.

In a joint statement the girls said they were delighted to have got to this stage of the contest.

"we're so proud to have reached the final of such a prestigious competition, " they said.

"We've always had a huge passion for hair and we are very excited about taking part and competing against the best hairdressers in the country."

Sassoon Spring / Summer 2010 Collection Experience "Futuricity"

Stylists traveled to the Wella Professionals World Studios to view a “look and learn” seminar where they had the opportunity to ask the Vidal Sassoon Creative Team questions about the collection and sassoon products. They all received a step by step brochure detailing the cut and colour techniques used

They look forward to sharing their new gained knowledge with the rest of the team.

Regional Finals: Wella Trend Vision Award 2010

Amy and Anna have successfully reached the regional heats of the annual national trend vision competition 2010. The regional final will be held in Birmingham on Monday 24th May 2010.

Fashion Show Darwin Centre Shrewsbury

A Shropshire stylist could be crowned the nation's favourite hairdresser after making the semi-final of a national competition.

Anna Clinton 27, a stylist at K2 THE SALON in the Darwin Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury, has made teh cut in the competition run by head and shoulders shampoo. If she wins, she will be given £2000."
