SIAN HOPING TO BE A CUT ABOVE IN TV SHOW.

A hairdresser from Shrewsbury is hoping to make it through to the finals of a TV talent show to compete against some of the most gifted young people in the country.
Sian Castree has made it through to the auditions for the BBC Young Talent of the Year award after submitting an entry form to competition organisers.
The 18 year old, of Castlefields Shrewsbury, works in K2 salon in Shrewsbury’s Darwin Centre.
She will travel to Manchester on Sunday as she battles it out with other young people to make it through to the next stage of the contest.
The competition is open to Hairdressers, chefs, mechanics and butchers from across the UK. Sian said she would be delighted if she made it through to the TV stage of the competition.
The former Wakeman School pupil said: “I have worked for K2 since I was 13 working at weekends and I did a one-year apprenticeship after leaving school before becoming a fully qualified stylist.
“A lot of us between 16 and 25 years of age who work at the salon applied for the competition and I got through to the auditions.”
“ I described how I really enjoyed hairdressing and said that I thought I could be an inspiration to other young hairdressers if I won.”
Sian said she was nervous ahead of the auditions but said she was also looking forward to the experience.
Staff at the K2 salon have also given the teenager their support with boss Jo Stephens set to accompany Sian on Sunday.”"

Good Luck Sian!
